i still admire Maron. i loved his last special. he’s one of my guys. but that last interview is everything wrong with liberals. stuck in the past. never looking for a new way.

but because Obama has an eloquent way of speaking and a friendly smile, he gets a pass. the hypocrisy is insane man. insane.

Maron having Obama on during his presidency is one thing, but to ask him back, for the finale?? for the ultimate culmination of 16 years work? what the fuck was he thinking?? it’s the exact thing he railed against Rogan for doing with the Trump admin.

Obama’s message of “hope” was met with ZERO return on our daily lives. nothing changed for the better in any kind of tangible way. it’s a joke. and i really hoped someone like Maron might have been able to see that.

i sometimes think with all this Trump shit the older liberal guard might finally be shaken awake into realizing that the milquetoast fashionable fascism of the Obama era was what paved the way for the Trump admin. Obama did nothing for us. nothing.
