There otter be otters. I've driven this road for ten years and only caught brief glimpses of an otter. Then one day last January... voila! These three chowing down on some trout, and not the least bit trouble by my presence. Ya never know what's around the next bend...

This is a Sandhill Crane at the Hiwassee Refuge near Birchwood, TN. The cranes winter here every year and are a wonder see (and hear, what a wild, honking ruckus!)
