It’s not just the “big” traumas. It’s the daily moments - being followed, being groped, the unwanted comments, the hyperawareness. When you’ve spent years enduring microtraumas, it compounds into something heavier than words can hold.

S*xual violence doesn’t happen because men ‘can’t control themselves.’ It happens because they know they can get away with it.

If you follow women just to leave nasty comments, disagree with everything they post, or “debate” them constantly, you’re a troll, not an intellectual. Hate-following is weird. If you don’t like what someone says, unfollow and move on.

When people say ‘it’s not that deep,’ remind them that harassment is directly linked to violence against women. It’s never ‘just words.’
