Found this little piece of 1990's treasure in an old drawer as I was tidying up today. Mr. Yuck understood: I miss the old guy. #90sNostaglia #MrYuck #stickers #nostalgia #1990s

I love this. It's on the packaging for my new knee brace. I wish I could have it on a t-shirt. Vibes++

Some snaps from the garden this evening: coneflowers and fuschia. Shot on my Sony and raws developed & exported with DxO PhotoLab. (resized for social media) That second coneflower is magical looking #BloomScrolling #PhotographersUnited #Photography #FlowerPhotography #SonyPhotography #SonyAlpha

Close up of my very blue Delphinium plant in bloom. One of the first images with my new Sigma 105mm Macro lens. It pleases me. Shot with Sony a1. Raws developed and exported with DxO PhotoLab. #BlueMonday #BloomScrolling #MacroMonday #MacroPhotography #Photography #SonyPhotography

My new lily opened a couple of blooms today. Love this unusual dark sienna color.

I finally carved out a moment to do some book shopping. I've wanted to read the Butler books for sometime and the rest here are the better part of the contenders for the Ursula Le Guin fiction award this year. (not pictured: Rakesfall - which I let a family member read first) #BookSky #reading

Touching grass at one of my favorite places: Denver Botanic Gardens on York Street in Denver. I thought the frames they added to the garden were a fun touch for this visit.

This was shot at Meow Wolf Denver Convergence Station a few years back. This is an art installation in a small niche in the wall. Meow Wolf is an immersive adventure of color, texture, and imagination! #BlueSkyArtShow #Vibrant #Denver #MeowWolf #Photography #abstractphotography #artphotography

Photography isn't possible right now as moving around is slow, painful, and quite limited at the moment, so I am fully embracing knitting, spinning, and fiber art things in general.
My next project is to pick up and finish my sweater that needs sleeves, a collar, and the body bound off the needles.

It has been a minute since I posted. Two weeks ago today, I underwent a major abdominal surgery where there were multiple complications. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days afterward. I am not gonna lie - recovery has been, and still is, not easy. But I am making progress every day 🧵👇

This is a wonderful book for the current times. It's a guide to activism and how we build coalitions and networks of support for one another. It outlines the different aspects of activism and movements: are you an activist or an organizer? 🧵👇 #booksky #activism #selfcare

Here's a reflection shot from the Glow In The Garden event at Denver Botanic Gardens. Reflection shots are rare (at least for me) at any location on the Front Range because the wind seems to never stop enough for water to be still.

Took a few mental health days off and spent a lot of time reading, knitting on my sweater, and (more recently) realizing I need even more mental health days after catching up on news. 😬 Still healing from medical stuff and waiting to get out with my camera. #knitting

Thought I'd sign off this evening with one of my favorite photos from last year: when the aurora showed even in Colorado. This was in Black Forest, CO in Oct 2024.

Westcliffe, Colorado July 2023. This is a wonderful place for night photography because it is a Dark Sky Community. Night photography is what attracted me to photography and is my favorite if I have to pick one.

#WaterfallWednesday This is Rainbow Falls in Manitou Springs, CO. 10x ND filter for the blur. The falls were moving so fast that the blur looked like a light beam, so I overexposed the part where it hit the water to enhance this quality. We lucked out: he sun was at the perfect angle for the 🌈!
