Boots was so much more than I expected. Brilliant story telling with characters you end up really caring for. There’s lots of fun and some deep and meaningful moments and it really does benefit from authentic casting!

Maybe it’s too smart for me but I could not get into HIM at all. It’s stylish but the storyline is thin and weak and a lot of it just didn’t have any impact for me.
The last 10 minutes are decent but it’s a little too late by then unfortunately.

I found Monster: The Ed Gein Story disappointing. From the trailer I expected to be proper scared but it felt really dramatised and fabricated. I needed more of the gruesome side.
Charlie Hunnam was fantastic though and I did like the snippets of his influence in cinema.

Thanksgiving is verging on slasher movie perfection. Creative kills, so much blood and undertones of humour.

Weird and creepy and freaky (and a bit funny in some places) - Together was great!! It had a touch of The Substance about it, plus Spice Girls! What’s not to love!!

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney … BASIC is the best word I can use. Characters you really don’t care for, twists that come too late to have any effect and it’s like cookie cutter thriller writing.

I had been craving Red Devil sauce from Harvester for so long and it was delicious (shame about the rest of the meal)

Once I accepted that it isn’t going to be The Office 2.0 I thoroughly enjoyed The Paper.
The humour each episode was brilliantly placed and each character is actually really likeable - especially these two.
Esmeralda Grand had me laughing constantly

I have a few niggles but overall I loved The Thursday Murder Club. Coopers Chase was far grander than I had pictured and I still don’t think Pierce Brosnan was the best casting but it left me with the same warm, lovely feeling I get from reading the books

Very excited that the film version is out next year. Hopefully Dakota Johnson won’t ruin this one!

I really, REALLY disliked Materialists.
I thought it was going to be a romcom - and it’s fine that it’s not, but it’s pragmatic look at relationships was depressing and enough to make you want to stay single.
Stop giving Dakota Johnson leading roles please!
