😑 Present.
😵‍💫 2026 just told 2025 to hold its beer.
🗺️ Be a good human, kindness matters.
Surround yourself with humans who are trying to make a difference - even with the world on fire.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

Congratulations to @derekhaaswriter.bsky.social, Avi, Jensen, Jessica, Eric, Bogdan, Violett, Elliot, Uli, Rachel, Merrick, Jonathan, J.J, Brent, extras, stunt team, and crew for a fantastic kick off to this series! Worth dealing with Amazons ads to watch this!
Hey, it's finally here! Countdown starts today!

For your reward waiting this long, here is a photo from the read-through last September when we all barely knew each other.

I hope you enjoy the first three episodes and I'll answer five questions on Sunday.

Oh yeah, this person totally couldn’t have been arrested (even if they shouldn’t have been) without the help of multiple horses beating him down, surrounding him, and another officer throwing him to the ground. Sure. Totally get it. Protect and serve right?
This stuff doesn’t look very protect-and-serve-y

Not me over here looking up flights so I can go see this bird.
One of the coolest features of the Agami Heron is its gorgeous, flowing crest that flutters as it poses and preens. But I've never seen it up close before with the details and textures.

My opinion has no relevance, influence, or anything like that, but I still wanted to put out into the world how impressed and proud I am of @booker.senate.gov.
He fights so hard for people our current administration ignores, while being a genuinely decent human being. Thank you.

Proud of you @dropkickmurphys.com - nothing says we support the people of the USA like a St. Patrick’s day concert protesting the government in Boston.

Saving up to pay for my surgery. Think this’ll cover at least the stitches?

Such a badass, once again, pointing out the obvious hypocrisy and unjust behavior by our government.
In Oversight today, my colleagues stuck to their usual script: blaming immigrants for all crime & claiming Dem mayors are too soft. Well, I was curious to know if they’ve ever had an immigrant with a criminal record that they could recall. Tune in!

I’ve despised pharmaceutical commercials since I could understand what they were trying to do. I make sure to loop up my surgeons and doctors to see how many times they’ve accepted meals with pharmaceutical reps. as well. They have a place, just not directed towards the general public.
I think it would make a big difference in our health if we banned Pharma ads from America like the rest of the world does.

So “Don’t look up” will be joining the list of movies like “Idiocracy” that have become documentaries? Great. Lovely.

I’ll grab a bowl of popcorn and a bottle of whiskey, sit in my yard and watch the show when we get there.

Female friendships, devoid of competition and jealousy, full of support, compassion, silliness, kindness, resilience, respect, love, and inside jokes. That’s what’s going to help us move forward as a society. Oh and coffee trips to spill the tea and laugh.

Just a reminder, since so many people seem to be forgetting lately, this is an important value to live by.

Be a nice human.

Another gem by @deadder.bsky.social

One step for man, one giant leap (into space) for women. Glad to say I’ve seen this leap for women in construction, engineering, and architecture as well.

I adore this quote from Daniel Craig about his costar Drew Starkey in Queer, directed Luca Guadagnino:

“…Drew’s a wonderful actor. He’s brought so much to this role and as soon as I met him and as soon as I started working with him, I knew he was there to play. And that made my job so much easier.”
We spoke to Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey about ‘QUEER,’ building the dynamic between their characters, premiering the film in Venice and more.

Kendrick packed a lot of symbolism and protest into that performance. All while running around in bell bottoms with a big smile.

This clip of Jensen singing this song always makes me smile.

Anyone else at least enjoying the political cartoons coming out of this absolute disaster of an administration?

Thank you @deadder.bsky.social and Benjamin Slyngstad for these.

James did a beautiful job with this political piece, I truly hope that Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde sees this. She should be flooded with love, support, and artwork like this. It takes so much courage to do what she did.

Everything she said, I cannot express how correct she is, and how scary 2025 has turned out to be for so many people in our country.
Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

I’m not sure which incredible artist should be receiving the credit for this beautiful piece, but I’m so glad this is out there in the world. I have an immeasurable amount of respect for Rev. Marianne Budde for the sermon she gave, after hearing the words, and seeing the actions, of the next admin.
