As our hate for each other grows neither side will see the other as legitimate political actors like Sunni vs Shia Iraq. And as we lose our grip on Pax Americana we will get poorer, angrier, and it will fall apart. Whomever wins 2nd Civil War wont reestablish democracy

They own both houses of Congress, the Presidency, the military, the most critical online forums (X, FB, etc), and have the support of half of the country. Some RW intellectuals (but not all) openly call for a form of RW fascism. That trend will continue.

Never forget that Obama won the Nobel for essentially not being Bush, so that was pretty ridiculous (and I voted for him twice, mind you). As for how we move on, we don’t. We descend into left wing fascism or rightwing fascism. Currently, RW is winning.

I think the breaking point will be if it gets so bad that a Governor deploys NG, but the State Adjutant General of said state says they won’t recognize federalization of the states’ forces, a sorta secession via mutiny. That’s the real “Constitutional Crisis” in waiting…

I agree. I’m just saying that just prefacing(as I feel Kinzinger did) that we will overcome all of this, you know, because are just and right or something, isn’t really where we are. They are far more likely to start the 2nd Civil War than decide it’s gone too far, and their supporters will agree

ICE is populated by people who want to kill you. It’s not that hard to understand. It’s who they are recruiting. They want people willing to kill non MAGA because only the cult matters. This will get much worse until the left realizes that only force can meet force.
