Playing a superb album, the mighty ‘Handsworth Revolution’ by Steel Pulse. Released in 1978, it still sounds fresh.

A brilliant set of songs by a great band 🎯✊🔥

That lyric from the title track that says “Doesn’t justice stand for all mankind”🎯👌

They’re a superb band. Check out their first album ‘Scared To Dance’ 🎯👌

There are some great songs on it like ‘Charles’, ‘Of One Skin’, etc.. It also includes the anthemic ‘The Saints Are Coming’ that U2 & Green Day did a cover version of.

Millie Small with ‘My Boy Lollipop’. A great, uplifting Ska song that brings a bit of much needed joy when listening to it.

Still one of the biggest selling Ska songs ever and also helped to establish Island Records.
🎯👌☀️

Aye same for us. Carnage at the youth club whenever ‘Into The Valley’ and Siouxie’s ‘Hong Kong Garden’ came on. My Doc Martens were very useful!

Happy birthday to Richard Jobson, 65 years young today.

A superb frontman for The Skids.

I’ve got happy memories of being a young punk and jumping around to Skids songs like ‘Into The Valley’, ‘Of One Skin’, etc.
