It's really well-animated and creative and full of all-out craziness, with monsters and aliens and ghosts, and the best thing is the relationships between the characters. First ep gets a little vulgar, and past that it's a great ride.

2025-05 - Okarun, from Dandadan! I'm certain it's big enough there's been R63s ('missing balls' being so easy a catalyst), but whatever, I wanted to draw him! Barely had to make a design difference!
Okarun from Dandadan, Rule 63 - just a nerd with circle glasses, messy hair and boobs that I think are too big I hope you forgive me.

From the comic, 'Die'! Unless you meant setting, then from Stafford in the UK!

2025-4 - DIE! By Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans - a very cool, though-provoking, D&D inspired story. And this is Ash, who's stuck as a girl in a fantasy game (again) with their estranged trauma-ridden group of friends, and it's anything but fun and games. I really enjoyed it and really like Ash!
The words 'DIE' are bordered in red, said by a woman with curled, flowing, shoulder-length white hair, covering up one eye. She's dressed in black with highlights of red, with a shoulder cape and a collar that splits into spikes that rise above her head. Next panel reveals she's just explaining the comic she's from, 'Die', made by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans, a super fun, if heady and dark graphic novel! She's very happy in the last panel, holding up a DIE omnibus, which is how I read the story.

Fun to hear! And I didn't realize they made 3 of those - gonna check 'em out! Are they more possible to beat than the original?

2025-3 - Blaster Master! One of my fave games (and books) of the childhood years. Had the coolest NES tank (SOPHIA 3rd), the silliest intro with a pet frog, and a main character design I didn't know about 'til recently that works great for R63. Still haven't beat that game legit!
Brush pen drawing of the Famicom Blaster Master protagonist as a girl - short but voluminous hair, raised shoulder pad on the left, skin-tight plug suit otherwise, and an awesome tank (SOPHIA 3rd) with four gear-looking wheels, also a frog and a monster thing that moves on two legs with a big mouth and a bow because it is also Rule 63'd. As is the frog. And the tank.

New #1s can feel more appealing. I can always use jumping-on points, and I actually do like when there's some volume difference between significant eras in a comic run. But too many new #1s are just obvious marketing tricks for sales and can make archiving or finding issues confusing down the line.

2025-2 - Grey Gargoyle! I don't know much about 'Paula' Duvall, except they're alarmingly French, jobs for just about anyone, and can turn people into stone at a touch, which I think is enough to be a big fan.
French woman made of stone, wearing blue panties, gloves, cape and face-mask, reaching out to touch you, while leaning on a female Thor to show what'll become of you next. Also cute, stone ponytail.

Might try doing Rule 63s for October that I haven't seen yet - still rusty, but fun to get back to physical media. This time, Sissel, from Ghost Trick! Been watching Snapcube2's playthrough, and it's still such a fun underrated game.
Inked in brush pen - Sharply dressed girl in suit and open button-up shirt, wearing sharp sunglasses and sharp greased up hair leading to an angular point. A black cat and Pomeranian hang out in the back.

Half-redraw, half-continuation of Arthur's Hero 01, more words, more strawberries, more misunderstandings, and hopefully with better anatomy!
Link looks down at this strange maiden that's been following him - He'd just finished fighting off a strange horde of new monsters in a strange new body, but _she_ was the strangest of all. She was looking up at him with nothing but her underwear, patterned with strawberries, completely silent... beckoning? Oh dear... Link remembered this was how he expected Zelda to react to his heroics, long ago, and he had gotten used to her denying him this fantastical reaction, and now here it was, in his face. What used to be a dream was now a little embarrassing and awkward and flattering? I mean, she was very cute, sure! But, I mean, then again! If Zelda wasn't going to... No! Okay, nevermind! But maybe?

I did! And both AI Sominium games are so clever, and also very anime and silly and dark! Aiba is my fave!

True! But also, she's beside Gaku in the collage, so-

Been playing a lot of Hundred Line Academy, a game by the 999 and Danganronpa guys, and it's anime sci-fi bonkers - so, have some Rule 63 of it!
It's a good time! But long! And silly! And kinda dark and nasty about mind-control stuff! And has twists up the wazoo!
Takumi Sumino from Hundred Line is a girl, with a girl Defense Academy uniform. The scene mimics the dramagic Choices scene of the game, where the player decides what Takumi should do - Some are reasonable for someone seeking the protection of humanity, and others are indulgent and silly. Takumi Sumino, and all the rest of the Defense Academy students are all girls now, for some reason! Hemoanima nonsense, I'm sure! All of them respond in their own ways to the changes, and some should get fuller scenes to show off their assets more, my bad. Takumi is front and center in casual clothes and longer hair and skirt.

I mighta jumped on the hype, heh - fun issue! The main story was pretty standard superhero fare, but kinda cool how normal feeling it all was, and most of the jokes were fun!

Def liked the Cap/WW story - a hint of a world where DC/Marvel was always intertwined became real fun to imagine!

Thanks! They're fun! I have seen others do them better and would love to level up even more, though - I'll work on that!

Thanks a bunch! That's good cake!

Thanks! So many possibilities... 🤔

Oh gosh, you're right! I hadn't read that yet but heard about it - crazy that it's happened canonically twice.
iancsamson.bsky.social
Ahhh that would have been a good one!

Silly TF Bad End comic based on the Superman movie!
Lex vs Superman ala the Superman movie - Lex shouts to the Hammer of Boravia to use the 63rd variant of red kryptonite, which instantly transforms Superman into a girl. Before he has a chance to respond, the Engineer attacks with nanobots to surround and encase the now Maiden of Steel Supes is wrapped up, but breaks out, soon realizing that the nanobots have reformed into a dress around him. Lex shouts out SM-330, an obscure nod to Superman #330 that introduces the Hypno-Glasses that may be canon to Gunn's movies maybe? Lex victorious, with a trophy secretary at his side. She looks dazed, professional, a green talisman at her neck, and wearing Lex's colors. Just off-screen, 40 Cakes, the true prize.

I could have cleaned that area up better - here's the general anatomy idea (maybe I'll do a Strawberry Undies version)

In that re-animated Zelda 1 trailer, using official 1980s concept art, one could make out a maiden fair that seemed somewhat familiar.
Sir Arthur on the receiving end of the arrival of 'a knight in shining armor', and is shocked, shocked! that a confident smile and hand can be so... effective.

Ah, thanks for the offer! I'd love to read the first volume of The Last Witch, since vol. 2's Blood and Betrayal was a fascinating fantasy world, just an odd starting place, my bad. Def would like that PDF to catch up properly, and I'll still be keeping an eye out for the individual issues! Thanks!
