Our first @btobirds.bsky.social Winter Bird Survey at Ludshott Common, Hampshire, today. Don't know if you can hear but there's a Woodlark singing his head off like it's the first day of Spring. Also Siskin, Redpoll, Crossbill, Dartford, Linnet and Stonechat in this one spot.

For days, I've been glued to the @spinerace.bsky.social tracking screen, watching dots make their way along a line. Each dot is a hardy soul running/walking the entire 268 mile Pennine Way in terrible Winter weather. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things!

@teafrancis.bsky.social Hello! I saw your resurrection of the butterfly display a month or so ago & wondered if these are any use to you. They're mostly SE Asian butterflies, still in their papers, bought probably circa 1984. Let me know and I'll post them over.
