Here's my latest video from The Narrowboat Sessions. The song is called 'I Am The King'. co-written with Philippa Atkin.

It tells the story of David Hartley and the Cragg Vale Coiners.

I have it down to a choice of two, but which track would you choose? You'll find it on your favourite streaming platform, Bandcamp, or my website

Well, it wasn't too bad on Saturday afternoon at the Folk at the Fox session. A little rain and it was getting a wee bit cool towards the end but folk stayed on and were very appreciative. Here's a snippet of my song 'Tall Tales'.

Thanks to Mel and everyone at the Fox Inn for looking after us.

Well that was fun, playing some tunes from my album, 'Better Late Than Never'. There were a few friendly faces, and even some CDs were sold at HMV in Stockport.

I need to clear up some confusion.

The Ian Ball appearing at the Folk at the Fox concert is not the Ian Ball from Gomez.

Neither is it the Ian Ball who attempted to abduct Princess Anne in 1974.

No it really is me and I'll be kicking off proceedings at around 2:30.
