That frog is out there, it can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with, it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop shimmying EVER, until you are grinning.

It is possible that support for Reform will wither away when people start to think about who Farage will have in his cabinet. But maybe not.

I remember years ago reading a book about Douglas Adams that talked about how poor he was at actually writing things to a deadline etc. and it really put me off him even though the book's tone was trying to make you think this made him a bit of a character.

I went to the northwest of Scotland to play gamelan with strangers. They did not sacrifice me to pagan gods and now i have written about the experience.

on the basis of the one TP book I have read, he is also a more disciplined writer than Adams, in that his books have plots that actually resolve and the plots aren't just ones he previously used when writing for Dr Who.

I had a similar experience - read one, quite enjoyed it, but never felt any interest in reading another one.

How many trillions of dollars have been invested into this technology so far?
Google search for "austria hungary in space"

Google excitedly tells you about the 1889 orbital flight, and that by 1908 there was a Mars research output with 30 people.

Can you imagine if Russia attacked and seized a UK vessel in international waters & kidnapped the people on board, including UK citizens, and the only response from the UK govt was to say that's "a matter for the Russian govt".

No, me neither.

I've found that a lunchtime walk in a quiet location is my ideal time for listening to audio, but even then if the podcast is not particularly gripping I start paying more attention to my surroundings.
