Just wait, Trent is a ball progressing monster who will single-handedly replace Kroos and Modric. Tchouameni is an elite defender, he just needs help in possession. Everything will click, with one more signing.

The guy who just said he wants to stay at the club and renew?

Do people still somehow think Barca should have gone the austerity route 3 years ago? Aggressive investing and “forcing” players out has brought them success, while potential recruits see the club doing well (no of being disrespected).

The depravity of *checks notes* a club wanting to sell a player under contract. How do they keep getting away with it?!

I bet you $2 your opinion will change in the next 12 months

I could see that. Anyways, it’s Madrid so they’ll never stay down, something will click.

I won’t downplay their success, just think they’re missing that vital profile without Kroos (and with Modric no longer super effective off the bench).

I think it would be strange for Madrid not to sign that profile but maybe Alonso gets creative.

I don’t blame them more than the rest of the team. I just thought as a foursome, they were severely overhyped two summers ago. Not sure Trent can replace Kroos or Modric either.

And is the four of Valverde, Jude, Tchou and Cama still due to be the unstoppable juggernaut, or do they need another midfielder?

I think he gets benched relatively quickly if Madrid signs a world class defensive midfielder like Zubimendi (who also hasn’t had his best season)

Tchouameni is not all that imo. In hindsight analysts really overrated Madrid’s midfield potential two years ago. “Valverde, Cama, Tchouameni and now Bellingham, who can challenge that?!”

Frenkie and some Spanish midgets were enough.
