I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.

And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.

In huge positive news, the Australian government just ruled out handing the work of their country’s creatives to AI companies for free 🙌

They resisted the well-funded tech lobby & shut down proposals to upend copyright law.

Other governments should do the same!

Jason with important clarity on the Meta lawsuit summary judgment.
And...yes. Another big AI decision. When a win is maybe not a win. The AI training is fair use cult may be very disappointed by Meta's Summary Judgment "victory" in its copyright suit. Be very very careful not to be spun by Meta's proxies and advocates.

Every major UK newspaper - left, right, broadsheet, tabloid - is running a front page campaign against copyright carveouts for AI training.

I can't remember the last time any political cause had such broad support, let alone one so anti-big tech and so economically consequential.

Interesting that Open AI says it can’t remove contested ©️ works NOT because it’s technically impossible but because they must preserve all training data as evidence in myriad other lawsuits.
