The Hera North Hall at DESY was recently visited by some members of the IAXO collaboration from Zaragoza (Spain) and CEA-Saclay (France) to test a Micromegas detectors that will be used in the BabyIAXO experiment.

This spring we met for our 21st #IAXO collaboration meeting at #DESY in Hamburg, Germany. We meet twice a year to discuss the progress of the different parts of #BabyIAXO. While in Hamburg, we also visited some famous landmarks and had our collaboration dinner on a restaurant ship.

Throwback to the last CMS #Hackathon at #Desy (Hamburg), where scientists gathered to work on common analysis tools and visited the #IAXO exhibition! #BabyIAXO will be built at DESY and we like to share our progress to the people that visit the site.

During our last #IAXO collaboration meeting we visited some of the telescopes from INAF Brera Observatory. The oldest telescope (picture 2) was used by Giovanni Schiaparelli in 1877 to study the surface of Mars. Pictures 3 and 4 show the Zeiss telescope (1926) and the Ruths telescope (1935)

Last October we had our 20th IAXO collaboration meeting at INAF Brera in Milan. Many of our collaboration members travelled from all over the world to discuss the advancements of #IAXO and #BabyIAXO. We had many talks with updates about the magnet, optics, detectors, physics, outreach, management...
