I added a few quality-of-life and performance improvements. namely 2 user commands to open and sync the index, and asynchronous processing for all index operations.

I tried it a long time ago but never stuck with it for some reason. I should probably give it another shot.

I've been maintaining a daily notes index file by hand for a while now where I manually link new daily notes. I had some free time recently and decided to create a small plugin to automate the process. It's still in early stages but very much functional. I've been using it for a couple days already!
