With ~80 IBERS-bred plant varieties on the National & AHDB Lists, we showcased how our research in breeding & genetics supports UK farming and future food security.

Nearly half of UK farmland is upland: nutrient-poor soils, steep slopes and harsh weather.

IBERS research shows that grazing sheep alongside cattle (mixed or rotational systems) increases total output per hectare.
