By adding "Spirituality" and "Livelihood" to the model, we get a context-sensitive framework that actually works for low- and middle-income regions. To solve the #health and #nature crises, our solutions must reflect the entire world’s reality

In Accra, two additional pathways emerged that are often overlooked in Western models:

🙏 Spirituality: Deep cultural and sacred connections to the land

🧺 Livelihood Support: Biodiversity as a direct source of income and survival.

This study confirmed four known pathways where #NatureImpacts health:

🛡️ Reducing harm
💪 Building capacities
🔋 Restoring capacities
⚠️ Causing harm (e.g., pests/disease)

How do people in a rapidly urbanizing city like Accra actually experience #nature?

These researchers used #Photovoice, where 36 participants documented their own lived experiences with local #biodiversity
