Surprised the Guess Who didn't have more chart toppers with songs like These Eyes, No Time, Undun, Laughing, etc. Picked up a greatest hits cd at a thrift store a few months ago. American Woman was probably the least favorite of those songs for me.

You got it. Medicare for all would in fact be insurance, just eliminating the gazillions in CEO pay. That pay is currently being used in part to buy off politicians to maintain the status quo.

I would venture to guess that there were still some billionaires then when adjusted for inflation.

Sure, but at least she's doing it, while so many others don't. And agreed, evil is a strong word, which is why I thought categorizing all billionaires as evil is over the top. Other examples, while maybe not billionaires but still super wealthy are Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, major paybackers.

Yah, had a somewhat heated discussion a few months ago because someone said ALL billionaires were evil. I do believe that there are at least a few who aren't, like MacKenzie Scott (along with the contributions noted below, she just contributed 80MM to Harvard): finance.yahoo.com/news/mackenz...
Saw a post earlier today asking what you would do if you won a 20MM lottery. On one hand 20MM doesn't go as far as it used to, but I would spend a good chunk on exactly this. Of course a sizable amount of the cost would have to go towards hiring a small army to protect the land.

Note Hyundia/Kia are part of same umbrella (like Toyota/Lexus), you may want to check Kias out, love my Niro PHEV. The 35 mile EV range covers about 90% of my driving needs, and it gets upward of 50 mpg in hybrid mode when needed, and it's a super solid car, makes my previous Prius feel like a toy.

This.. My friend Pete bought one because it was the best environmentally friendly option at the time, I would have done the same if I could have afforded it. Lots of great more affordable options now, like my Kia Niro PHEV, but that wasn't the case 10 or so years ago.

Feel ya man. Went through that 4 times (2x by ambulance) this past August/September until docs finally operated on my wife. Originally thought wife's Crohn's medication was failing and tried other treatments, turned out a mechanical pinch of her intestine was causing the Crohn's-like symptoms.

Hey I hate Musk as much as anyone but Musk is not the engineers working for him. Wouldn’t use it but Starlink apparently works great. And my original point was that maybe the board has justified the payout to themselves based on their expectations for Optimus.

Sophie (white) is our least affectionate one, and Arlo (tabby) is pretty aloof but super cute and silly. Inky (tuxedo) almost as affectionate as Stella.
