this series was more for fun and as a joke rather than anything serious. i DO wanna get back to making regular (30-40 minute each) videos, and also maybe do a little stream here and there, who knows!👀

Next Gaming Venture? Just started Metaphor: ReFantazio and loving it so far! I'm gonna take my time with it I think. I'm hitting that point in playing so many JRPG's in a row where I need to pace myself in order to enjoy the game thoroughly.

so yeah, I think I'm starting to become a JRPG fan :)

For me P5R was a solid 9.5/10, not perfect, but definitely a top game for me.

P3R however? probably an 8/10? the ONLY and I mean ONLY thing holding it back was Tartarus, or else if might've been on par with P5R for me.

In Conclusion, I liked P5R more because the gameplay was better incorporated with the story, making everything feel more worth the while. BUT P3 is still a VERY good game, literally the first thing i said when the credits rolled was "What a good fucking game dude"

Lastly, the MC, up to interpretation obviously because you ultimately decide the type of person they are. while I DO like Joker more, Makoto/Kotone is a very good MC as well.

Aigis had probably my favorite arc of the game, I loved her figuring out how both the world and being human worked, I loved her dynamic with Koromaru, and I already said, but her scene with the MC was beautiful.

The Socials Links were great, loved how they were all voiced (please P4R do the same)

Yukari pissed me off A LOT, but she got on my good side by the end.

I feel a lot of conflict throughout the game could've been prevented with Mitsuru was a little more honest at the beginning, but I ultimately loved her arc.

Shinjiro and Aikhiko's dynamic was incredible, I will miss them.

lightning round for the main cast:
Akihiko takes the cake as my favorite character, Aigis being a close second.

Koromaru is awesome,
I wish Fuuka had more to do,
I didn't like Ken at first, but he grew on me after... yeah,
Junpei felt like a better written Ryuji,

Last thing, this thread is getting very long.

All the characters in the game were amazing, not a single miss (besides the first twist villain).

Takaya ultimately was a cool villain, Jin was just an annoying sidekick (who i fucking destroyed btw).

P3 had almost zero overlap of the 2 sides of the game which made Tartarus feel very meaningless most the time, just a way to inflate the total playtime. My favorite part of Tartarus were the final like 10 Floors, where it ACTUALLY had overlap with the main story.

one of the least favorite parts of P5R was Mementos, Tartarus is just that, but literally over 5 times longer.

I don't want to just rip on Tartarus, so I'll just reach my main point:

I am SO glad P5 has palaces, having the story cross over from the JRPG side and the Life-Sim side of the game.

enough with story thoughts, now for the part of the game I DIDN'T like very much:

The Gameplay

Battles themselves were fine, I like the battle system, If I didn't I wouldn't have completed the game.

My main gripe is Tartarus. The mindless dungeon crawling that made me bored as hell most the game.

Last thing story wise, I wanna talk about is the ending:

Not spoiling too much, but I thought the entire ending sequence was GENIUS. Aigis's whole "wanting to be more human" story arc CARRIED the ending for me imo. It just made her and the MC's final interaction so much more meaningful.
