According to Bankrate, 69% of non-retired Boomers expect to rely on SS for major expenses once they’re retired. Over 2/3 of those polled… probably even larger within the total population.
It is ludicrous to expect longevity from that, and even more so for a high QoL.

On an individual level, we must strive to maintain fluidity. Many of the privileges/luxuries we enjoy are transient - we’ve seen this with older generations.
