The downballot has been tracking special elections this year. On Average Dems are overperform Harris by 13 points. For comparison, Dems overperformed Clinton by 11 points in the 2017 special elections (where Clinton was a few points better than Harris).

It also didn't help that Trump literally promised that he'd lower grocery prices on day one. Obviously that was bullshit- we all knew it. But a lot of voters took him at his word for some reason.

I'm just going to say. If Democrats win by like 12 (13-14 point swing), uneven swings are going to make some of those districts shaky.

This is why my critiques are things like 'corporate funded r&d ignores basic science' and 'we shouldn't let profit motive determine medical care'. And not 'I shouldn't have to work 40 hours a week' or 'my burger is too expensive & we need to raise the minimum wage'.

They physically don't have the manpower to do it. ICE + BP + the amount of National Guard called so far wouldn't be able to occupy half of precincts with one dude.
