Varjo gets a lot of praise from his master after sessions like these.

For example I got harassed out of my last job after increasing efficiency by 15% despite an influx of 40% more product than expected. Purely because I was continuing to try and improve stuff which was bringing in money and making customers happy. After I left they lost 1 of their big businesses.

Yeah I've even seen modern studies showing that doing stuff like calling in to check on your application and what you mentioned actually works against your favor. Most entry level positions don't want someone whose got initiative or going to advocate change.
