Used to be a galactic archaeologist. Now I design tabletop games about epic heists, illegal mech racing, daring sky pirates, doomed expeditions, and other such nonsense. 🚀

Nah, I think it needs more room to breathe than a one shot. Even the best tuned FitD one shots feel to me like they’re sort of missing the point, and the fun.

If you ever fancy trying it online, across tricky timezones, I’m in!

I reckon it’s the kind of game where you really need your players to commit.

It’s a similar kind of commitment required to make other sandboxes (like Blades or a|state) sing, but I suspect A Nocturne fails less gracefully without it.

I feel like ‘make an ancient mystery cult’ is pretty much always the answer.

2026. Playtest packet. It’s happening!

2026 is the year I (finally) get Speed Daemons out in the world.

It’s a game of illegal mech racing in a crumbling domed city on an alien world. Races are arguments and victories are currency; PCs race to release pressure and change the world.

It’s the Matrix meets Fast & the Furious with mechs!

Oh, thank you for this! Stealing the Throne turns five next year, and I’m genuinely delighted that it’s still getting love!

Two heists back to back… I hope they were epic!

Project Hail Mary is terrible — you’re making the right choice. All of Andy Weir’s worst quirks cranked up to 11.

And I’m excited to see it making its way out into the world — thanks for sharing, and supporting the game!

It’s such a great novella, isn’t it? I hope I’ve managed to capture a bit of its wonder, intimacy, and scope in the game. When you do find a collaborator, I’d love to hear how it goes!

Oooh, exciting! Prism and Fungal sound like an excellent pair of factions to fight for the future.

If you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear how your time war goes. And thanks for supporting the game!

❤️💙

Yours was the first sighting in the wild, Paul, and I can’t think of a more appropriate place to start!

I also think it looks marvellous — I never get tired of that cover, and each of the interior pieces makes me want to fire up another game. Love your work!

❤️💙

I would journey up from London to set up a little stall (and maybe play some weird indie ttrpgs).

When I was an undergrad history (and physics) student, I got so tired of historians of a certain vintage just dropping untranslated Latin or Greek texts into their articles that I took a year of Latin so I could at least muddle through. Those were good times.

Ha — amazing! I accept.
