The 600 MY time is actually the destruction of the necessary carbon dioxide levels allowing for photosynthesis in trees. 1 billion is the runaway ocean evaporation time frame. Might be bad. Oh wait, I wrote 1 million, not 1 billion. Ouch. All theory though, we’ll see!
