Agreed. Is there some measure of when you are being exploited as a colony or just a weaker trading partner? Apologies for my lack of historical knowledge; feeling my way here.

To be fair, I agree with keeping damages low/none where people are just ‘chancing’ their arm. But .. it should be recognised that there is a real emotional drain when, for example, there is a loss of services due to data breach, even if for a short period of time.

I wonder what the quantum of damages will be? It may be non material damage, but what risk to the controller? The UK has set (case law) quite low expectations in terms of financial compensation for such damages.

Great insight to the view that IP and copyright laws do not need to be adapted to AI, rather AI needs to adapt to well-established, ‘gold standard’, copyright regimes. Her amendments will ensure this is the case!
