This is quite interesting: www.inkandswitch.com, www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s8O...

And the main reason for that is that this is so ... not current?! It is a beautifully designed website, not about whatever is supposed to be the next "big" thing.

Most of the features here are already in Firefox. I don't know what is the point of reinventing the wheel in the name of "UX innovation" (?) I was excited about a "different" approach to a browser, but now, this feels more and more like yet another clone.

How can this be a known issue? It breaks Debian 13's boot immediately after installation. The resolution (apt download and dpkg --root) is unclear from this page too.

(How exactly would one install this package if one were installing from scratch, and not upgrading?)

I have been taking a look at the latest version of the software I use, and the version that is available on the Debian 13 repositories: It is the same. New OS setup is going to be so much faster without having to build everything from source ❤️ I will be keeping those build Ansible roles around tho.

People use their smartphones too much: 4 hours daily, 200 unlocks. So, we should make a high resolution screen, that they never have to unlock, and can be glued to for 16 hours a day? Huh? No logic, just sales 💵

`pinentry` is wild; `sway` is great; I spent ~3 hours figuring out how to get `pinentry` to work properly with `yubikey-agent` on Sway. Everything else works well (I might switch to it? Tiling WM dream lives on? I am not getting my hopes up.)

With 500-1000 Org files where TODO items _may_ be stored, setting the `org-agenda-files` list using `ripgrep` improves the time taken to display the weekly agenda significantly: run time goes down from 144 seconds to ~6 seconds.

The most important feature of ledger-cli.org is that a single account can have a balance in multiple commodities: In the real world, my "investment account" has multiple funds. I don't like that GnuCash forces me to create a separate account for each one.

I am using the latest Manjaro off of a live USB to test a PaperWM patch on Gnome 48. It is *nearly* identical to Debian (hard pressed to tell the difference). I am tempted to install it on my development machine.
