As a European, I would like to say, my respect for the US, in general, has gone from meh to about the bottom of the Mariana Trench. In less than a year.

Well, mostly because we have nice things like security, universal healthcare and free education in Scandinavia...

My mom ran out of the supermarket, for radio news, without my brother who sat in his tram sleeping, until a kind employee got off from work, took him with her and knocked on our door with a 'did you forget this while shopping???'
