This tiny fungus was found May 25 2019, growing on the side of a 6" wide x 4" deep worn-in trail in the heath on an extremely exposed Atlantic headland. It is maybe 5mm tall. Taken near the Port Bickerton Lighthouse, Guysborough Co.,Nova Scotia,CA

A pair of emerging Leathery Grapeferns (Botrychium multifidum). Taken July 2 near the Port Bickerton Lighthouse, Guysborough Co., Nova Scotia. They are growing in a swale behind the beach, 50 feet from the open ocean. Btw, the plants in this photo are no more than 4cm / 1.5 in tall.
