Glad it cleared for him, I updated my drives BIOS in July, along with a full sweep of other firmware updates if I remember right, and it seemed to help at the time, but maybe too late by that point?
It doesn't help that a lot of searches brought back this drive failing quickly. Related? Who knws

Going to try another system.
The pattern has been it would randomly "forget" the drive causing a reboot, but would quickly reestablish. The week it just stopped seeing it.
