im sure someone could look at this and go "you're giving a show you just started a lot of credit" but aikatsu is just. very good. and even when its not that good it's still fun to watch in the background or something. which is huge for me as my attention span is shot lately

aikatsu is the greatest ever and it doesn't get enough attention imo. i never finished og or stars but i enjoyed every second i spent with the series

ill hold out hope it was such a good resource 🥲🥲🥲

mizuki on the otherhand-

actually mizuki reads very much like a classic lovelive/imas character whos been dropped into a setting where everyone goes to therapy. and she refuses to go to therapy but shes gradually becoming mentally healthier through exposure anyway

i think being a love live and idolmaster fan before aikatsu is the main reason i appreciate aikatsu's writing so much..... not that the dramatic approach is inherently worse or anything. but aikatsu is really good at finding creative solutions to resolve conflicts... most of the time.....
