In his youth, he had part of one lung removed due to a severe respiratory infection. This procedure was more common in the past when tuberculosis was more widespread

COVID may have made it seem like all viruses rapidly mutate to escape immunity, vaccines, and treatments.

The measles outbreak in West Texas has spread to Mexico. The virus spread among members of the tight knit Mennonite community on both sides of the border - in Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico. It is thought due to travel by families or through sales of farm equipment.
