I suppose we have a history with Ringtons and all that but I don't think its too nationally significant. Any civilized place would have the same I'd imagine.

Alongside this they never want to mention that mixed race people are the fastest growing group.

Just to be clear Brexit isn't to blame on this one (though the coalition....). It was something I tried to point out to people before the brexit vote that their idea that 500 million Europeans were going to move over was mad and as things were going in 20 years it was more likely to be the other way

Wouldn't Green earth be a better opposite name for blue sky?
Or blue sea?
Why is it always the sky they keep.

Ah yes, good old its not about ethnicity its about culture. Beloved shout of the far right as they realise it sells so much better and can even bring over a few non-white Islamophobes to their side (though they're clearly next on the list, see also the LGB Alliance.).

The fat I get. A car based lifestyle, a desk job, and xxxxl portions does that.
... But why did they think that moustache was a good idea?

This is core to where a lot of the far rights inroads into poor areas comes from really.
Growing up my town had maybe a dozen Asians and a village black guy. Uncommon to see minorities.
Now its pretty normal to see non white people.
This coincides with the towns economy vanishing so correl=cause.
ieatpie.bsky.social
.... I need to find it
ieatpie.bsky.social
Seriously why aren't oligarchs building mega bungalows.

"Stupid poor people. They keep buying the cheap boots. They should just buy something bespoke from a local craftsman. They'll save so much. But thats why they're poor. Scum."

I'm surprised. I'll take your word for it, I don't follow what you do.
But in my experience Twitter is infested with quitlings and I've never seen one on here.
I have on the other hand seen lots of good stuff on BS discussing the far right problem.

... Wut?
I agreed with you that our racists really have it in for Muslims so of course I'm backing up your point.
ieatpie.bsky.social
I am British.
You would probably get that on twitter yes.
Without a doubt our racists point the bulk of their hate at Muslims and by extension anyone brown.
ieatpie.bsky.social
Like what?
I think it depends who you are. I've heard black guys speak well of being far more accepted in Britain, but middle eastern and Asian people feel far more under watch.

2001 was just a year ago?
Sorry but trump has suddenly become so much more relatable.

I've got a small scale conspiracy theory in my head that Labour are letting Reform win local councils to show everyone how absolutely incompetent they are.
The scale remains small as of course nobody has a clue about local Govenrment.

Lots of these bluesky didn't want a social media system posts about these days. What's the source?
I've missed the original moan
ieatpie.bsky.social
Is there still such a thing?
I'm booking my train ticket if so.
ieatpie.bsky.social
Would it be that it were.
ieatpie.bsky.social
French men.
Not a French man.
French men.
... Is that what mojo means?

Expected after the Manchester attack. Glad nobody was hurt but how depressing to see terrorists succeeding in their goals.

This story I don't expect to be that interesting to many. But one snippet....

"Dubai-based Desmond – the former proprietor of titles including the Daily Express, Asian Babes and Readers’ Wives –"

Ohhh the Guardian has its claws out for other papers.
Richard Desmond legal action over National Lottery award to begin at high court
Billionaire suing Gambling Commission for up to £1.3bn over licence award, with payout potentially funded by the taxpayer

It's pretty tried and tested by that lot to speak in favour of trains but to not actually support any practical development.
See Dick Holden in Durham or indeed Boris with his frequent mega projects.

So #safc seem to have been a disaster today for some reason.
