We can’t afford to weaken National Park protections ⚠️

But there are rumours that some in Westminster want to remove the Protected Landscapes duty - the only real power to secure action for nature

We can't let 30 years of campaigning go down the drain

Defending the Protected Landscapes Duty
We were successful in strengthening the law to mandate public bodies in England to take action for National Parks and Landscapes. Now we must defend it.

@hughfw.bsky.social opening the #WildSummitUK session on Source to Sea.
Highlighting the struggles of the European #eel during its long migration to our rivers, and the threats and filth it faces when it gets here really got the point across!

Sewage sludge spread on our farms is a covert route for chemical pollution, experts warn🚨

UK Government must ban PFAS-polluted sludge, & take action to cut down on all non-essential uses of these harmful chemicals🧪

Last summer saw up to 100,000 people march to #RestoreNatureNow & big nature promises made by politicians 📢

A year later, people are losing faith in Government’s ability to meet nature targets 🥀

We need action to turn things round🌱

On my way home after a great three days at Fishmongers Hall for the Wild Salmon Connections conference.
Although the current picture is bleak it was really uplifting to hear about the great projects that are going on across the Atlantic and Pacific to try and address the decline in wild #salmon

We are attending the Wild Salmon Connections conference this week at Fishmongers Hall in London.
Although things may not look great for #salmon populations not all is lost as there is a great deal of work going into reversing that trend.
