And aslpinnacle doesn't gotcha-ing mrholden with this argument. A 1500 USD phone is an unnecessary luxury for many; there are many phones that can do the job for much less (at least in Europe). It is also a robbery because it costs about 12 USD to make an iPhone (I presume that is a mentioned phone)
