I finally watched Hellraiser: the eighth of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. Though not too exceptional as a film, especially in the first half, there is so much awesome creativity on display that is executed perfectly and has rarely been imitated successfully

I just watched Hacksaw Ridge: the seventh of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. While the first half didn’t grab me, the latter half lands its contrast between a horrifying battle and the perseverance of a virtue. It’s a real stand out among war films

I just watched Doctor Sleep: the sixth of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. There’s a lot of strong moments that struggle to stay unified, torn between being an awkward tribute and actually telling its story. It’s a little difficult to recommend

I just watched Red Dragon: the fifth of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. Not as engaging as Silence of the Lambs nor as bombastic as Hannibal, Red Dragon is rides on a familiar premise and some admittedly very strong performances. It’s alright

I just watched The Purge: Anarchy: the third of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. Though often tripping over itself with character writing and it is EXTREMELY ugly, Anarchy fleshes out a fascinating world and has an admirably radical statement to it

I just (re)watched Terminator 2: Judgement Day: the second of twenty-one movies I must watch before 2025 ends. As someone who prefers the first movie, I can’t deny that this is certainly entertaining and quite visually stunning. My few complaints feel too trivial to mention here

I'm rewatching Terminator 2 and something hit me early in the movie because recognized a sound they were using from one of my favorite albums which was influenced by that movie
