Spain's ISPs block IPs used by pirate streaming sites during the Spanish league football matches. IP-level blocks impact the many unrelated sites that are behind each IP. Adding insult to injury, Movistar keeps the blocks for 14 HOURS after the match is over. bandaancha.eu/articulos/mo...

Many DMCA cases, probably others as well. The Lumen database contains legal complaints and requests for removal of online materials. You can then see if the site complained about is accessible after the complain --we did that some time ago arxiv.org/pdf/1902.05796

There seems to be a decline after each migration burst, but overall it does not seem like users test and go somewhere else (data is until eoy 2024 though) arxiv.org/abs/2501.11605

Comparing richer and poorer neighbourhoods with Nextdoor data we found strong similarities between US and UK wrt the content posted (ojs.aaai.org/index.php/IC...) and nuanced differences wrt political attitudes (arxiv.org/abs/2407.03255). Would be interesting to combine the data...
