Movie dork and also other stuff dork. Cladistically a fish. Good at trivia if there's not too many sports questions
And things have been getting worse for the past decade or so due to bigger commuter vehicles, screens, and probably post-pandemic "rules are done lol" norms

Roam hits the same sort of pleasure centers that the Stone Roses do, but I don't think those guys could do Love Shack

I hope your scholarship is better and less AI-sloppy than your art. You're signaling a lack of interest in accuracy to everyone who sees it.

Every year I go to a 24-hour horror movie marathon, which generally ends with a big fun crowd-pleaser like Army of Darkness, The Frighteners, and such. The year they ended with The Descent had one of the quietest pack-up-and-leave phases I've seen. Definitely gnarly, definitely rules.

Just had a moment of reverse pareidolia and instead of seeing a pumpkin face, I was trying to figure out what the Wu Tang had to do with things

I won't say that recent Mountain Goats are as consistently great as they were in the 2000s, but any band that can put an "Extraction Point" or "Let Me Bathe in Demonic Light" on the board has still got plenty of juice. (There's also the question of when to start that 20-year clock...)

Ever since I couldn't justify going to Oakland for it in 2012, I've been hoping to someday catch a screening of Napoleon with the full three-simultaneous-projectors Polyvision setup. I'd hoped the new Netflix-funded restoration would lead to some of those, but haven't heard about anything.

If you've mentally locked in your answers and won't change them if you see relevant info in an old question, it's officially okay to look at your opponent's past answers to find out what their deal is for scoring purposes!

I just watched Decline of Western Civilization Part 2 and based on those interviews, within the hair metal scene lipstick seems like the controversial dividing line between "I'm such a manly man that I can dress like THIS to get chicks!!" and "nah, performing masculinity isn't what I'm here for"

Kodama if I'm trying to win, Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar if I'm trying to say "Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar" at every opportunity. Spent a weekend in 2021 training myself to rattle it off effortlessly and now's the time to reap those rewards

This is a scarier concept tbh. Like if it's hills in general, that's just something I'm learning about hills. But if it's only the one, what's going on with that weird hill!

I recently watched the 1939 Yiddish-language film of Tevye, and it's very grim in ways that make perfect sense for the story but cause a lot of cognitive dissonance for a viewer who's used to the Fiddler version. Also there's no shtetl - the family lives isolated among pogrom-happy gentiles!
