I think the Occam’s razor is that she is woefully unqualified for the job and therefore has no idea what it is or how to do it

This is a self selecting fly wheel, and 100x for any hires after the latest.

But critically, his mass deportations didn’t come with secret police, terrorism prisons abroad, murdering American citizens, calling said citizens domestic terrorists, etc. that Obama deported so many without what is happening is a powerful argument for moving people (especially on the right) rn

“Fuckery”: telling a lie that you know is a lie while knowing the person hearing it knows a) it's a lie and b) that you also know it's a lie. There is zero intent to deceive with this lie because all parties can all see what happened. As such, this type of lie is simply demonstration of power

Pacing could also be a confounding variable for sure. What I experienced was a lot of sexting and sex, and not really much dialogue or plot. It felt firmly in the romance genre and so strongly that I wasn’t super interested in spending more time with it (bc romance, straight or gay, is not for me!)

I’ve been thinking about this more and I hadn’t internalized the permanence of, say, a 1 pt shift in a district (and that once it’s done you don’t get the repeated signal as you do ad $$/PAC presence) and of course there is diminishing returns to ad spending. Has anyone tried to measure these?

I think the changes to the VRA are certainly *morally* worse, but I think it’s hard to argue that Citizens United wasn’t *functionally* worse (from a leadership outcomes perspective), given the area under the curve/leverage campaign finance has

The juxtaposition of the words from this man and those from our POTUS and cabinet creates a very stark and sad picture

I think that’s fair! My wife knows my taste so if she really thinks I should dive in and I’ve read it wrong, I’ll give it a go! I think I watched episode 2 and it didn’t resonate (again for genre reasons not quality reasons)
January 20, 2026 at 12:26 AM
I watched one ep with my wife and it’s not for me bc romance as a genre is not something I enjoy personally. This is *definitely* romance, unlike something like Looking (liked!), which was as focused on the love lives of gay men but more interesting with regard to plot lines, char. development, etc.

Say this all the time: the most disqualifying thing about her is that she thinks she’s qualified. (By the way also applies to all of trump’s cabinet).

What good is an indictment if we aren’t going to use 100+ warplanes and kill 80 random people to make good on it!?
