I’m not in the casualty loss field, but the predicted hit to GDP this year seemed low— must all sorts of negative knock on effects that are hard to measure.

I’m guessing that it’s the framing of this natural disaster in terms of hit to this year’s LA County GDP.
Kind of misses the point about the scale of the problem we’re facing— like not seeing the forest fire for the tree lumber.
