Fucking hell. I travelled in Venezuela before when Chavez was president. Venezuela has lots of problems but the people are amazing. I had the best time with everyone I met, many just trying to make it through the day. I can't imagine how much worse it will all get under a trump sycophant.

She's beautiful! I had Phyllis for 6 years but she got stuck in Sweden for the last 3 years. No heat; no water. I felt awful.

I had an amaryllis called Phyllis and I talked to her all the time, her yearly flowering was celebrated like a birthday. She seemed happy.

I can't stand the smell or taste of tea, unless it's the tea I rarely make in one of my pots. But coffee, chocolate or tea (if that's your persuasion) are any time beverages!

There's an old BBC series that's a ND special interest/safe show. It has 'ex' Nazis in it. For years I've heard their exact words repeated, replacing Jew with any other minority. Their plans for socialists/soviets/minorities, rehashed and rephrased today. It's been shocking to experience.

Sometimes I add swede too, absolutely love neeps cooked in stock for hours. You got a thin 'holey' gravy that loves a crusty bread. Serve with any veg/pickled veg you like. Drink left over gravy with a straw.

Haha its my partially deaf sister struggling with names of stuff as a kid.

It's mince, carrots, onions quartered, however many oxos make enough stock, bit of thyme, maybe some rosemary. In the oven for 3 hours @170 fan, then chuck in some tatties and back in for an hour.

Basic but tasty.

Oooh I remember having a fire like this as a wee girl. Boldly insisting I didn't need the fire guard anymore and then immediately preceding to set fire to the fur hood on my new coat.

Just make sure you pop the window open occasionally if that's a free standing one doll.

I remember the day after I moved to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, to Aberdeen. TV gave me the weather for 'north Britain', I looked at the screen and was offended as I'd spent the majority of the day before on a train and that map did not represent how far I'd travelled! I had Scottish family, but that day I became Scottish.

Sadly not. We do roast, stoup (using roast leftovers), Asda pizza, bolognese but never with spaghetti, beef tacos, 2 chubby cubs sloppy joe, beef stew, chili, spicy chicken pasta and tater hash.

Nothing creamy, no thick sauces, nothing cheesy except pizza.

I love house sitting, food freedom!

Ah poor lad. There's one near me, nice dog, if anything a bit anxious. Often walked by the teenage son of the owner who could do NOTHING if that dog panics.

My dad caused a dog phobia in me for many years. I overcame it largely, I'm often more anxious of the walker than the dog, but sometimes both

As someone who's a big fan of mastiffs, grew up with them, dealt with all their bs, trained them, knows them pretty well, those dogs fucking terrify me.

Because I know what type of muzzle, what type of harness and lead, what human behavior is needed to walk a mastiff without causing intimidation.

Oh stunning! I stay with my sister mostly and her autism means the same 10 meals on rotation all year. I'm grateful it's a choice of 10 which is much more than lots of other autistic people can manage. But I'd do unspeakable things for the contents of your slow cooker!

God forbid a woman enjoy something. Small Gods and Hogfather fundamentally changed me, I think that's pretty cool.
