Corbyn deserved what he got. He had some good ideas but was politically inept and self interested (not unusual these days). It will be interesting to see how Polanski fares. Mamdani too.

We're dealing with politicians here.... do they ever do what they said they'd do? That would be a refreshing change from normal practice.

To be fair, what has happened since Jul-24 has left a lot of us disappointed & disillusioned. So it's not unreasonable to wish for change. Or do you feel that Starmer et al have done a decent job?

There is also the small matter that we know he lies all the time.....

Thanks. I use Fuji & love the 16mm f2.8. Great for many things inc. street.

Not always. Ditto tomato sauce. There are pizzas without either, although a little Grana Padano or similar is often there. I do a potato one with no tomato and just a little cheese. The concept of "white" piza is quite common.

Not even cheese ! 🙄

Get Sadiq Khan into no. 10 ASAP - someone not frightened to make decisions. I fear than Burnham would not be brave enough.

He's not got more than a few months left. Republicans can see their grifting futures disappearing down the drain.

Seen many of these, but you've nailed it, excellent. 24mm full frame or 16mm. APS-C ?

I guess I'd have swear on a Jimi Hendrix album.

Agreed re. meat, which always seemed pointless to me. But I've twice had fish fondue which worked well & was quick => a lovely fish selection with a bowl of batter to coat fish. But you do need a proper high temp fryer, the little fodue sets aren't up to the job.....& 2 bottles Manzanilla help 😁

Lots of whinging but no proposals or policy, 'cause he doesn't have any.
January 2, 2026 at 12:07 PM
For my money we need Sadiq Khan as leader, he's proved himself over and oved again in London, and most importantly he'll make brave decisions.

Starmer was essentially handed a clean slate & we all hoped for so much. Yet he's managed to f*ck it up so badly he's already lost the next election & is looking at a leadership challenge. What a waste. He's a real dyed in the wool useless tosser.

I'm beginning to feel that we're on the verge of a big change where people start to support those who care. Change may be on it's way 🤞🤞🤞

Don't confuse Farage's statements with what he believes, they're all geared to attract publicity and exposure.

That's a wow from me !

Just for contrast, I just cooked a pork shoulder 8 hours at 120C, rest under foil as you heat the oven up to 260C then cook for a few mins 'til the crackling puffs up. Superb.

Gabapentin is wonderful for those vet trips. We have one cat who needs 100mg just to make him handle-able enough so the vet can sedate him on arrival (for blood sampling).
