A friend of mine has only been #flytying for a few months and he’s sent me a few of the flies he’s tied. If these don’t catch me a #rainbowtrout #flyfishing I’ll have to hang up my rods 🤞🏻.

Some times it’s not about the #flyfishing. One of our members reported an injured swan. The Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre staff were able to retain the injured swan and take it away for treatment. Hopefully it'll be released back into the wild. Well done to all those involved.

The latest stocking of #rainbowtrout to the club lake. The #trout stocked were between 2-3lb to make for some great #flyfishing for our members.

The #rainbowtrout are starts to get caught again after a slow hot summer. Our Fishery’s Officer took the opportunity to do a mornings #flyfishing having plenty of action.

ILFFC Chairman went to Rutland Water #rainbowtroutflyfishing. 1st day was a struggle. The boat hire was cancelled due to the high winds and #flyfishing from the bank was slow but manageable. The 2nd day was better and a few #rainbowtrout came to the net, but he lost a good #browntrout.

Peter, one of Island Lake Fly Fishing Club members, took his grandson for his first #rainbowtroutflyfishing session. He managed to land 4 #rainbowtrout having to battle bright sunshine and gusting wind. To catch four showed great perseverance and well deserved rewards. Great #flyfishing young man.
