While slow EU growth isn't good, I'm not convinced that US GDP is that real. So much seems to malinvestment in outright scams or the AI bubble, plus incredibly inflated healthcare costs.

Is that a real argument though? Taking the bus is already way way cheaper than driving. The people who still drive don't do it because of money. You get fewer cars on the road by getting a better bus service, not a cheaper one.
