I…. Want to agree. But in reality I see ad blockers used by people who seem to be offended by content creators wanting to be compensated for the work they do. Should they go walled garden instead? 🤷‍♀️ Is there a threat vector there? Yes. But it’s not, not all about as firms either.

I grew up in SoCal and between the haze and fish processing plants the air quality was questionable. My MAGA family can’t grok that the reason San Diego weather is now what they miss is because stupid liberals forced the change.

I go to my local bookstores. For a long time that was Book People in Austin, now it is Rough Draft in Kingston most of the time. It was The Golden Notebook in Woodstock this weekend and Inquiring Minds in Saugerties a few weeks ago.

5th copy of American Gods I have purchased (have given away 3 because I love it and want others to read it too). Only one of a handful of books I have read more than once. Still haven’t convinced @sonyalee9.bsky.social to read it, but I will keep working on it.
