From my sandpiper panning series; neglected to this post one yet. Taken early in the project, it reflects my original vision for what the resulting images would look like. It was fun to branch out from there.

That's beautifully expressed Alex, thanks for that inspiration. I do find that in my viewing of others' works, sometimes technique, etc., doesn't matter one bit, as long as the feeling is conveyed and is paramount. It's harder to act on this in my own work, but welcome the challenge.

Just want to add that the reason I didn't leave more room on the bottom is that there are two more screws down there, and it would have distracted from the "face" of that latch plate. 😉

Dog bite?

This is the latch to my wooden front gate. Just today I noticed a little scene playing out which I found quite funny..
