On this day in 1880, the Illinois Pharmaceutical Association held its first meeting at Representatives' Hall of the Capitol. The purpose of the meeting was to bring pharmacists, from throughout Illinois, to discuss the need for a Pharmacy Practice Act and to represent the profession of Pharmacy.
