Second time at the fortnightly FLGS painting group. Scored these because my glasses aren't up to it. Looking the part of a mad scientist while base coating three minis for Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone and talked to some of the people that I was too shy to speak with last time. 10/10. Will be back.

Here's the #Mausritter Month jam entry in PNG format. I'm still working on editing for concision and evocative language. There should also be more links to other elements to help with world building, e.g. Wulan was killed by humans for her scent glands which are an aphrodisiac.
Title: Sigung - Sunda Stink Badger Body Text: Sigung are enormous, with adult males about the size of a larger medium sized dog. Signung will eat almost anything but particularly enjoy carrion, invertebrates, and eggs. They are nocturnal and mostly solitary animals usually found in mountainous forests but can occassionally be found on the foothills of the Parahyangan plateau. During the day, they sleep in simple burrows which end in a large chamber with bedding. They sometimes take over from or share burrows with other animals like porcupines. The entrance is usually concealed with twigs and dried leaves. Burrows are usually dug near and protected by roots of trees. When threatened, Stink Badgers bow their heads, lift the tail and claw the ground in front of them. If the warning is ignored, it is followed by a stream of foul smelling milky green secretions projected with great accuracy up to three feet from the anus. They are quite fierce. Growling and biting when in combat. They move slowly and can only run at a trot for about 100 yards.

I recently bought Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone. I dislike the aesthetics of the gangs in the core set but want to try a skirmish game that plays faster than Kill Team with squads of humans instead of platoons of armour like Alpha Strike. The rule book is a bit rough for my current cognitive capacity

My older brother came over on Sunday and agreed to my find suggestion of a game of Battletech Alpha Strike. Capture the flag. I got a secondhand extendible dining table today from the Salvos for AUD 80. It's a little beaten up but in great condition for something that's about my age. And perfect for all of my tabletop games. It extends another 1/2 and whole metre. Nice wood and craftsmanship. Battletech mats for scale.

The shrine is to Shiva. Understood to be Batara Guru, the creator god in Sunda Wiwitan, the indigenous religion of the Sundanese people. Represented on the front cover of MZ01 using this homage to AD&D by @salvaterra.bsky.social. The image gives us a hint of the shocking discovery made by the PCs.

The PCs are on a mission to Candi Cangkuang, the real world 8th century Hindu-Buddhist shrine on Pandan Island. What they discover when they arrive will send shockwaves through the region. Funds will be used to comission more art by @munkao.bsky.social

The PCs unfortunately live in the foothills of the neighbouring mountain. However, this youthful and gregarious naga krakatua knows the secret of this terrifying being because it befriended it soon after its arrival several decades ago. But she lives on the other side of the map.

This forest spirit by @salvaterra.bsky.social is one of my favourites. It spins webs to catch predators, however, anyone passing through who doesn't hunt the local animals or damage the trees and plants has a good chance of remaining safe.

I joined Evlyn's playtest of her Orbital Megastructure last week (my second session today). It has to be one of the coolest games I've played. The party had picked up a pair of guardian bugs before I joined. I think we would have been cooked without them last week.
A large bug with its two front legs evolved into massive claws that function as shields.

This is the zoomed in map. I think I prefer the tree density on this one. It doesn't convey clearings and forest density as well as the other, but it's also cleaner and easier to look at.
