Just make sure you announce your retirements to your professional network on LinkedIn so they can be appropriately celebrated.

Hold Ass aside, touch screens in cars are one of the worst ideas in all of design, possibly ever.

The one that sent me was a chief sustainability officer for a company posting a bunch of AI generated Ghibli photos and Action Figures over there.

I'll also endorse a Casio (PX-160). The weighted keys feel great and it sounds great. Not insanely bulky either! Might be worth dropping into a music store and just trying some different models out though. I've heard Roland has some nice ones.

To be fair, their CEO makes a near daily 1,000 mile commute on a private jet. Might be worth asking if you can get that same kind of deal? www.bbc.com/news/article...

If they just released a windows handheld that could compete with the ROG Ally X in power and had a SteamOS like experience (or basically just an xbox dashboard) it would be pretty sick. But it would have to be able to run xbox games and other game stores natively.

I don't really know anyone using it as a portfolio tool anymore, but I started using Mobbin to find UI inspo and I've been really happy with that tool.

The entire cast of Wet Hot American Summer had their best role in that movie. Paul Rudd picking up the lunch tray is peak cinema.

I guess there is a difference between feeling your own impact and accomplishments though (almost more of an exercise in mindfulness) and having those celebrated and acknowledged by leadership though...
February 24, 2025 at 8:18 PM
I feel like it's an organizational thing. I've had some orgs where zoom parties to celebrate launches / accomplishments were the norm. And other orgs where teams crunch for months for the launch celebration to be a single, one sentence slack post, then straight back to the next task.
