I respect and appreciate this comment and viewpoint; thank you for your kind tone. Perhaps I went too far. It just seems he spews hatred. “They’re eating the cats and dogs.” Now it’s Somalians. It’s anyone not white. He’s abandoned “all created in His image”, “all God’s children” and so much more.

Look, I’m with you on these posts here. I cannot fathom the position the Gov is in and trying to balance/juggle everything in that moment. Not saying he should NOT activate, but remember every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. He doesn’t want to escalate unless nuclear option.

Please work with other democrats and anyone else to refuse to fund DHS. If it causes another government shutdown, so be it. And while I’m at it, please elect another minority leader in the House, and work with Senators to elect another minority leader in that chamber too.

@sanders.senate.gov @nuttyinnyc.com I’m no economist. $15/hr in Hoisington, KS is not the same as living in NYC, LA, etc. Equal, yes; equitable, no. Start with a base minimum and then factor in COLA and other metrics per locale to establish a comparable min. wage. Require reassessment every 10yrs.
